We are a group of local, politically engaged young people aged 16-25 from The Hills and surrounding areas.
We promote political education and awareness, providing a platform for young people to speak on issues that affect them.Â
HYN believes that an informed vote is a powerful one. We seek to keep our members informed and educated about the issues of the day, through workshops, meetings and communication.
We want to foster a culture of political engagement within the Hills, promoting critical thinking and youth empowerment.
We encourage the exploration of diverse perspectives, and seek to bring all voices to the table to discuss and educate about societal issues.
We want to equip young people of the Hills with the tools to analyse, question and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.
HYN seeks to foster the growth of leadership skills among young people, promoting community and personal growth.
We believe in the transformative power of leadership, and we seek to instil young leaders with qualities such as integrity, empathy and inclusivity.
HYN supports collective leadership, with every individual contributing their perspective to create a positive change in our community, and in our society.
We aim to inspire young people to become compassionate and community focused leaders, who seek to create a better future for their society.
We seek to bring together the voices of young people. Our advocacy is grounded in principles of fairness, equality, and inclusion, aiming to make a positive impact on our community and beyond.
We want to engage with all levels of government and community groups, to advocate for the issues that affect young people
Collaboration is key. HYN embraces a teamwork approach to advocacy, understanding that a shared purpose makes our principled stance even more potent.
Through our advocacy principles, we're on a mission to shape policies that mirror our values and echo the hopes and worries of young people throughout the Hills and surrounds.
